Byron Bay International Film Festival - World Premiere

Last week we received the wonderful news that "The confession of Father John Thomas" has been selected for the Byron Bay International Film Festival running from 4 -13 March 2011. This will be the official World Premiere of the film and i'm happy for this to happen for the film locally. The film will screen on Saturday the 5 of March at 12 pm as part of the adults only shorts session. In the mean time I have entered the film into several other prestigious international film festivals and are eagerly waiting on their decisions.

Yes we did not receive any news or emails from Berlin, meaning we missed out so i got straight onto Cannes. we have now officially submitted to 3 different festivals at Cannes. The official Cannes, Directors Fortnight and Critics Week. Our chances are slim but you need to be in it to be selected, so you never know.

I also decided on our US premieres and opted for a short film festival. The CFC Worldwide Short held in Toronto Canada, closely followed by Palm Springs International Short Film Festival. I really liked Palm Spring and would love to screen there again, even attend if i could, although it's a little far away!

I'm looking into the Korean animation film festival as our second animation film festival entry, but will have to look if Hiroshima Animation film festival needs an Asian premiere, otherwise i will hold of for a year!

We are now entering in our second wind of promo and advertising for the film! It will be a busy next couple of weeks!
